CAR-T Meeting 2022 | Setting up and running a CAR-T unit: patient’s perspective

Lorna Warwick, BA, Lymphoma Coalition, Toronto, Canada, shares some information on her presentation at the EBMT-EHA 4th European CAR T-cell Meeting, which focuses on setting up and running a CAR-T unit through the patient’s perspective. Ms Warwick details the main topics of her discussion, which focused on how psychosocial issues, anxiety and emotional stress associated with CAR-T therapy can be supported. Ms Warwick also highlights the importance of supporting both patients and caregivers and helping them cope during CAR-T treatment, especially in cases where relapse may have occurred, or patients feel it is their last chance at treatment. This interview took place at the EBMT-EHA 4th European CAR T-cell Meeting which was held virtually in 2022.
