In this interview, Mark Levis, MD, PhD, of Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Centre, Baltimore, MD, discusses the importantance of involving the patient in the treatment decision-making process. Dr Levis emphasizes the need to not only educate physicians on the newest treatment options, but also the patient, in order to make informed disease management decisions together. It is also important to remember that when choosing the risker treatment options, physicians may question themselves and can also need support too.
