iwCLL 2023 | Underrepresentation of elderly patients with CLL in clinical trials

Brian Koffman, MDCM (retired), DCFP, FCFP, DABFP, MSEd, CLL Society, Inc., Chula Vista, CA, discusses the underrepresentation of elderly individuals in clinical trials, and advocates for greater inclusivity in future trials in order to provide data which is more representative of real-world patient populations. Dr Koffman also comments on how less toxic, efficacious novel agents have shifted the treatment paradigm for elderly patients. This interview took place at the 20th International Workshop on Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (iwCLL) held in Boston, MA.
