Rahul Banerjee

Rahul Banerjee, MD, FACP, is a physician-researcher and Assistant Professor in the Clinical Research Division at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center and the Division of Hematology and Oncology at the University of Washington, Seattle, WA. He earned his medical degree from the Alpert Medical School of Brown University, Providence, RI, followed by residency and chief residency in internal medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and the Philadelphia VA Medical Center, Philadelphia, PA. He completed a fellowship in Hematology and Oncology and an advanced fellowship in Bone Marrow Transplantation and Cellular Therapy at the University of California San Francisco, San Francisco, CA. He is an active member of the International Myeloma Working Group, the American Society for Transplantation and Cellular Therapy (ASTCT), and the Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Research (CIBMTR).
Speaking on CAR T-cell therapies and supportive care in multiple myeloma
Dr Banerjee’s research bridges cellular immunotherapy and supportive care, with a focus on CAR T-cell therapy and innovative strategies to enhance quality of life in patients with multiple myeloma and AL amyloidosis. He has led multiple clinical trials exploring the integration of digital life coaching (DLC) and wearable devices into cancer supportive care, with the goal of improving both physical recovery and emotional resilience. With over 70 peer-reviewed publications, he is a leading voice in advancing digitally enabled, real-world interventions for patients with multiple myeloma.
