Mark Verrill

Academic history

Mark Verrill, MA, FRCP has 25 years’ experience in medical oncology at the Royal Marsden Hospital and the Northern Centre for Cancer Care. He is currently the Head of Medical Oncology at the Northern Centre for Cancer Care (NCCC).

Dr Verrill obtained his medical qualifications from the University of Cambridge and University College London in the UK. He has published over 40 peer reviewed papers on the management of breast cancer.

Speaking on systemic therapies for breast cancer

Dr Verrill has carried out extensive research in systemic therapies in breast cancer as well as gastrointestinal stromal tumors. He has an international reputation in breast cancer clinical trials evaluating novel breast cancer treatments. Dr Verrill also has research interests in biosimilars and their potential to expand patient access to highly effective oncology treatments.
