Haifa Kathrin Al-Ali, MD, is professor of internal medicine and head of the Krukenberg Cancer Center at the University Hospital Halle, Halle, Germany.
Prof. Al-Ali obtained her MD from the University of Leipzig, Leipzig, Germany, before completing her specialist training in internal medicine and hematology and oncology at University Hospital Halle, where she has held several academic and clinical leadership positions.
Prof. Al-Ali is an active member of several international hematology societies, including the European Hematology Association (EHA), and has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications on myeloproliferative neoplasm (MPN) disease biology, prognostication, and emerging therapies.

Prof. Al-Ali is an internationally recognized expert in MPNs. She has served as principal investigator and collaborator on numerous international studies evaluating innovative therapies for myelofibrosis and polycythemia vera, including novel JAK inhibitors, hepcidin-targeting agents, and combination regimens. Her work has contributed to the development of new treatment options and improved standards of care for patients with MPNs.
