Academic history

Edward Stadtmauer, MD, received his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA, and completed a residency at the Bronx Municipal Hospital at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, NY. Following this, Prof. Stadtmauer received a fellowship to work in the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he is now a Physician, distinguished Professor, and Chief of the Hematologic Malignancies section. Prof. Stadtmauer is certified by the Boards of Hematology (1988), Internal Medicine (1986), and Medical Oncology (1989).

Speaking on myeloma and cell therapies

Prof. Stadtmauer’s research interests focus on clinical trials and bone marrow transplants. He is an expert in the fields of myeloma, leukemia, lymphoma, bone marrow and stem cell transplant. Currently, Prof. Stadtmauer is the Principal Investigator of a clinical trial on CAR-T cells in relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma patients (NCT03464916).
