Andrew Kuykendall, MD, is an Assistant Member at Moffitt Cancer Center, Tampa, FL, in the Department of Malignant Hematology. In 2012, he earned his medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine, Gainesville, FL. In 2015, he completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of South Florida, Tampa, FL, and in 2018, he finished his Hematology and Medical Oncology fellowship at Moffitt Cancer Center/University of South Florida, Tampa, FL.

Speaking on new disease-modifying therapies for MPNs

Dr Kuykendall’s key research interests lie in myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs), myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS)/MPN overlap syndromes and systemic mastocytosis (SM). More specifically, he aims to develop novel and disease-modifying therapies for these diseases and has been the primary investigator of several clinical trials. Dr Kuykendall is an active member of the MPN-Research Consortium, which strives to improve treatment options for patients with MPNs by developing new agents.
