Academic History

Andrew Brunner, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and at the Center for Leukemia at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, MA. Dr Brunner attended the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, Providence, RI, where he obtained his medical degree in 2010. He later completed his residency at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, MA, and a fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Boston, MA.

Speaking on new treatments and clinical trials for patients with MDS and other advanced hematologic malignancies

Dr Brunner focuses his research on the development of clinical trials for the treatment of myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS), disorders of the bone marrow which are associated with a risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia (AML). More specifically, he investigates treatment patterns and patient outcomes in MDS and other advanced hematologic malignancies with the overall goal of tailoring treatment and improving outcomes for patients.
