Academic history
Andrea Kuhnl, MD, is a Hematology Consultant at the King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, London, UK. Previously, Dr Kuhnl trained at CharitĂ© University Hospital Berlin, Berlin, Germany, after which she completed her specialist qualification in hemato-oncology in 2015, before becoming an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Berlin University, Berlin, Germany, in 2017. After this, Dr Kuhnl moved to the UK for a 2-year research fellowship in Prof. David Grimwade’s lab at the Department of Medical and Molecular Genetics at King’s College London.
Speaking on CAR-T therapy for lymphomas
Dr Kuhn’s primary research focus is on the development of CAR-T therapies for the treatment of patients with lymphoma. In particular, Dr Kuhn is interested in CD19-directed CAR-T therapies for high-grade and large cell lymphomas.
