Academic history

Andrea Kuhnl, MD, is a Hematology Consultant at the King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, London, UK. Previously, Dr Kuhnl trained at Charité University Hospital Berlin, Berlin, Germany, after which she completed her specialist qualification in hemato-oncology in 2015, before becoming an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Berlin University, Berlin, Germany, in 2017. After this, Dr Kuhnl moved to the UK for a 2-year research fellowship in Prof. David Grimwade’s lab at the Department of Medical and Molecular Genetics at King’s College London.

Speaking on CAR-T therapy for lymphomas

Dr Kuhn’s primary research focus is on the development of CAR-T therapies for the treatment of patients with lymphoma. In particular, Dr Kuhn is interested in CD19-directed CAR-T therapies for high-grade and large cell lymphomas.
