ESH MPN 2026 | Deciphering fibrotic niches using NicheSphere in MPNs: study insights and implications

Hélène Gleitz, PhD, Erasmus MC, Rotterdam, Netherlands, provides insights into a study deciphering fibrotic niches in myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs) using a double genetic fate-tracing approach and a bioinformatics pipeline to analyze how cells in the bone marrow interact to drive disease over time. Dr Gleitz highlights that this deeper understanding of early disease mechanisms may help to identify new therapeutic targets and therapies. This interview took place at the ESH 11th Translational Research Conference on Myeloproliferative Neoplasms (ESH MPN 2026) in Estoril, Portugal.
