Paolo Ghia, MD, PhD from the San Raffaele Hospital, Milan, Italy, talks to us about his collaboration with Kostas Stamatopoulos, MD, PhD, in improving communication between physicians and patients. He notes the difficulty faced by doctors in providing information to patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) due to the fact that the disease mainly involves a ‘wait and watch’ approach, which may cause patients to be concerned.
