Raúl Córdoba Mascuñano, MD, PhD, a specialist in hematology and hemotherapy, is the Coordinator of the Lymphoma Unit at University Hospital Fundación Jiménez Díaz, Madrid, Spain.

Dr Córdoba Mascuñano received his MD from the Autonomous University of Madrid, Madrid, Spain. He then went on to receive a number of masters degrees in areas including molecular oncology, clinical research, and clinical pharmacology and translational research. After completing a Clinical Research Observership at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX in late 2014 he took on his current position.

Dr Córdoba Mascuñano is an active researcher across a range of hematological malignancies, particularly the immuno-oncology of lymphoid malignancies, and has a special interest in geriatric hematology. He is the principal investigator for numerous clinical trials for non-Hodgkin lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma, chronic lymphocytic leukemia and other chronic lymphoproliferative syndromes. He is also a member of the ethical review board at his current workplace. This work has culminated in Dr Córdoba Mascuñano being the lead or co-author of over 100 papers.

Alongside this work, Dr Córdoba is passionate about sharing his scientific knowledge. He was an Associate Professor of Hematology at Infanta Sofía University Hospital, Universidad Europea Madrid, Madrid, Spain from 2013-2014, and now continues to communicate the latest updates in hematology through his active social media presence, including Twitter and LinkedIn.
