Claudio Cerchione

Academic History

Claudio Cerchione, MD, PhD, is a hematologist practising at the Istituto Scientifico Romagnolo per lo Studio e la Cura dei Tumori (IRST) IRCCS, in Meldola, Italy. Dr Cerchione obtained his medical degree at the University of Naples Federico II, Naples, Italy, and has further trained and taken part in projects at the Rhenish Friedrich Wilhelm University of Bonn, Bonn, Germany, and the University of Coimbra, Coimbra, Portugal. Dr Cerchione has collaborated in many clinical trials and research projects, specializing in several areas of hematological oncology, including multiple myeloma and acute myeloid leukemia (AML). He is also author/co-author of numerous articles and is an active member of the editorial boards of many scientific journals and societies.
