Outcomes in patients with multiple myeloma have improved with the introduction of novel therapies with different mechanisms of action.
However, the efficacy seen in clinical trials is often not translated to the real-world setting. Therefore, RWD studies on the effectiveness of MM therapies are necessary to fully understand the efficacy of a given therapy outside of an RCT.
To gain a better understanding of treatment and patient outcomes, various real-world studies have been, and are being, conducted such as the INSIGHT MM study and the PROMISE study.
