ICML 2017 | Tackling unmet needs in lymphoma

Graham Collins, MA, MBBS, MRCP, FRCPath, DPhil from Oxford University Hospital, Oxford, UK provides an overview of the challenges in today’s clinical practice of lymphoma. During this session at the International Conference on Malignant Lymphoma (ICML) 2017, Lugano, Switzerland, the areas of unmet need in lymphoma were discussed in great detail. Dr Collins describes how, while progress has been made in the treatment of lymphoma, some aggressive sub-types of the disease remain difficult to treat and have poor progression-free survival. Providing examples of clinical trial data presented at the meeting, Dr Collins discusses the role of immuno-oncology and combination therapies in tackling these unmet clinical needs.
