ICML 2017 | The use of immuno-oncology in lymphoma

Graham Collins, MA, MBBS, MRCP, FRCPath, DPhil from Oxford University Hospital, Oxford, UK, provides an overview of his session on the use of immuno-oncology in lymphoma at the International Conference on Malignant Lymphoma (ICML) 2017 in Lugano, Switzerland. The session was largely speculative on the role that immuno-oncology drugs can play in treating lymphoma. Immuno-oncology has been shown to be effective in Hodgkin lymphoma, however, this hasn’t been replicated in non-Hodgkin lymphoma. There is the potential for biomarkers to identify which patients may benefit from these drugs, however, more research needs to be completed in this area.
