Paolo Ghia, MD, PhD from the San Raffaele Scientific Institute, Milano, Italy discusses the importance of gene analysis in patients with leukemia. The results form a gene analysis test can determine the optimal therapy for a patient, whether that is treatment with novel inhibitors or immunochemotherapy. It is also crucial to sequence therapies appropriately, as some therapies can become less efficacious in patients, if the patient has had certain prior treatments.
