John Murray

Academic history

John Murray, RGN, MSc, is a Nurse Clinician in Bone Marrow Transplant at the Haematology and Transplant Unit of the Christie Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Manchester, UK. Mr Murray became a fully qualified nurse in 1991 and has since been working with patients who have received stem cell transplantations.

Mr Murray is also the Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (ED&I) Committee Deputy Chair of the European Group for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (EBMT) Nurses Group Board and is the former President of the EBMT Nurses Group.

Speaking on allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation

Mr John Murray’s primary research interest lies in post-hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT), in particular graft versus host disease (GvHD). Mr Murray is also passionate about the role of education in patient care, authoring several blog pieces in partnership with the UK charity, Anthony Nolan, to help educate patients better about GvHD.
