Academic History

Constantine Tam, MBBS (Hons), MD, FRACP, FRCPA, is a director at the St Vincent Hospital and a hematologist at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, Victoria, Australia.

Prof. Tam received his medical degree in 1998 from the University of Melbourne, Melbourne, Australia. He then moved to the US in 2006, where he completed a fellowship in leukemia at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX. Prof. Tam then returned to Australia to complete two fellowships at the Sylvia and Charles Viertel Foundation in 2009 and at the University of Melbourne in 2013.

Speaking on CLL, hairy cell leukemia and non-Hodgkin lymphoma

Prof. Tam’s research interests are focused on the development of novel drug combinations to treat chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) and non-Hodgkin lymphoma. He is also an active member of multiple scientific societies. These include the DVA Specialist Review Council, the Hairy Cell Foundation and the Australasian Leukemia and Lymphoma Group. Prof. Tam is also involved in scientific publication and is on the editorial board of Leukemia & Lymphoma.
